Am happy to put out that I will be attending the world famous Film Festival FANTASTIC FEST (September 23-30) in Austin Texas. I will be there to review films for my site Arrow in the Head and cover some mainstream stuff for JoBlo.com. I will also be there as a member of the  Jury for the Horror Features category. Am looking forward to it! Thanks to the Fest for making it happen.

This year marks Arrow in the Head’s 10th year anniversary as the site ahs been online since early 2000. 10 f*cking years man… shit blogs didn’t even exist then… where did the time go? Personally,  its been a trip, lots of ups, some downs, lots of perks, lots of new friends, some disappointments… lots of work… LOTS OF WORK… no you don’t get it… LOTS OF F*CKING WORK… but hey its all been worth it.

I wanna take the time to thank the AITH readers that keep coming back to the site for their daily shot of horror and ta-tas. We couldn’t do it without yall! And also big gracias to the Arrow in the Head crew for their fine work and for being cool ass mofos. I ran the site for 5 years by myself, but its when I started working with these crazy peeps that the fun really began.  Happy B-Day Arrow in the Head!

Usually this time of year, I prepare myself for the San Diego Comic Con. And although I enjoy Comic Con (cough, cough, the parties, cough, cough), after 8 years of attending it, I felt that this year would be a good time for a change. It’s like I always say; life doesn’t happen unless you provoke it. So it’s with that in mind that I leave Montreal, Canada behind this weekend, for an undetermined time, to head for Vancouver. BC.

Before BC though – I will be having my first full-on internet-less vacation; wow, I haven’t done that in years – yup I rented a car and will be driving through the Rocky Mountains for 7 days or so. I’ll stop here, stop there, take in the sights and just “be”. Man it will feel good to have ZERO INTERNET to tend to. CAN’T WAIT. I’ll officially arrive in BC on August 1^st – once there the vacation will be over and hustling/learning my way around the city and its industry will kick in hardcore. I’ll give it all I got – lets see what happens.

With that I’d like to wish the JoBlo.com crew, my usual partners in crime Johnny Moreno, Jim Law and Mike Sampson the best of times at the Con. Although I will not be there myself, AITH will be all over it, you can expect genre coverage to hit the ARROW IN THE HEAD on a regular basis. Knock them dead yall and have a drink (or three) on me!

Hey all! Welcome to my Official Blog! Yup, I decided to get rid of my old OFFICIAL SITE and get with the fucking times already. For those of ya who don’t know who I am (lucky you) here’s a quick rundown:

My name is John Fallon. I love nature and all that is “real” (people included). At the same time; I am pursuing a career in the film industry which is the opposite of peace and “real” (people included). I like to think that I’m a cool cat, a nice guy…until you fuck me over that is.

Professionally; I run one of the more popular (or so my mom tells me) horror websites on the web called Arrow in the Head. I’m also an actor (I’ve been compared to Lorenzo Lamas…ALL GOOD…GREAT MAN!), screenwriter, producer and director. To put it simply: I’m just a dude who wants to make a living working within what he loves: movies. If I pull that off, the rest is gravy.

What do I do for fun? I work (yes, its fun to me), travel (lots), work out, play hockey, see hockey games live, write, hang with buds, do extreme sports, play video games and do some boxing. I’m of the “live life to the fullest” school, so I’m always looking for new things to try and new experiences to live. My religious inclinations? I just try to be a good person, that’s my religion…that and the ocean which moves me…yup…I’m more of a spiritual type.

So what can you expect from this BLOG? Well I’ll talk about the film projects I’m involved in of course, my experiences in the zany world that is the film industry, will perhaps share some personal shite about me now and again… maybe even go the Diary way if the amount of booze in my system is on the money… basically, I’ll do whatever I feel like doing when I do it. Don’t want to really “plan” this thing, I’ll go with the flow and see where it takes me.
